Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using any part of the Organize Eats website or product (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, household, or another person, you confirm that you have the authority to bind them to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Organize Eats (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). You must also be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction. We may refuse service, close accounts, or remove content at our discretion.

Your account

To use most features of the Service, you'll create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

We want Organize Eats to feel calm and safe. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in ways that exceed reasonable individual use.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Resell, rebrand, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

Your content

You retain ownership of the meal plans, recipes, lists, notes, and other content you create or upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you choose to share it with.

You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the rights to share or use it on the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Plans, billing & cancellation

Some parts of Organize Eats may be offered as paid subscriptions. If you purchase a subscription:

  • You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or where we explicitly offer a refund.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes apply only to future billing cycles.

Our intellectual property

The Organize Eats name, logo, gradient wordmark, and the Service itself — including its design, software, copy, and visual identity — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand assets.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly allowed by these Terms or by applicable law.

Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, recipe sources or grocery retailers). We don't control those services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

Organize Eats provides information about meals, ingredients, and budgets to help you plan — it is not a substitute for medical, nutritional, or financial advice. Recipes, calorie estimates, allergen information, and prices may be inaccurate or out of date. Always check ingredients and prices for yourself, particularly if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Organize Eats and its team, partners, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Organize Eats harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms or if continued provision of the Service to you would pose a legal or security risk.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply after your account ends.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any disputes that are not subject to arbitration will be the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first try to resolve the issue informally by contacting us. We'll do the same.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the product. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
